There are a variety of campus departments that hire students for paid positions.
The Admissions Office is currently (June 2019) hiring for student help. In this positions students will provide counter and telephone support for the Admissions Office and Registration lab, assist students with the application and registration process, and more. The ARC Call Center is now hiring. Students must be enrolled in at least six units. Bilingual is preferred (Farsi, Spanish, Russian) and call center/customer service experience is desirable. Call (916) 484-8496 for more information. The Call Center will be hiring through July 2019.
The College Store hires student help for the fall and spring semesters.
Kinesiology and Athletics division
The Kinesiology and Athletics division would like to post for 2 Federal Work Study student positions. We are looking for two students who are willing to work during the Fall semester Tuesday-Friday 3pm-7pm to assist our football team with practice equipment setup and take down. They will also assist our football team during the actual practice. Students must have Federal Work Study. Learning Resource Center
The Learning Resource Center (LRC) and the Beacon/Tutorial Center accept applications on an ongoing basis and hiring will generally take place at the beginning of each term, or as needed. The ARC Library hires students to help in the Circulation and Reference areas. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and positions are filled as needed.
Child Development Center
The Child Development Center often hires Federal Work Study/CalWORKs student help. Students with Early Childhood Education units receive priority in the hiring process, but it is not a requirement. Dependability, teamwork and a positive attitude are valued. Please bring proof of Federal Work Study and/or CalWORKS eligibility.
Math Multimedia Learning Center (MMLC)
The MMLC hires students on an ongoing basis to tutor online math courses up through Intermediate Algebra (Math 120). Interested students should stop by the MMLC (Portable 604A) to pick up an application.
ARC's Disability Services & Programs for Students (DSPS) offers employment and volunteer opportunities. DSPS is now looking for notetakers and in-class aides for fall and spring semesters. If you enjoy taking notes during class and are organized and reliable, DSPS needs you! Volunteer notetakers receive certificates of appreciation; paid positions are available for well-qualified students. To inquire, please contact Mike Warner.

The Los Rios Human Resources office manages hiring for a variety of full-time and part-time positions at American River College, Cosumnes River College, Folsom Lake College, and Sacramento City College.
The Federal Work-Study (FWS) program
provides jobs to students to help them pay for their educational expenses.
